Everyone knows when it comes to getting a tough job done right, safety always comes first. Protecting your work crew is your top priority. The Ford F-150 is the only full-size pickup of 2016 to earn an IIHS Top Safety Pick for preventing injuries in a wide array of crash scenarios.
Now crews can get even more protection when outside the F-150, with the class-exclusive factory-installed strobe warning light kit.
The kit consists of high-visibility front and rear-mounted amber lens LED strobe lights, which can be seen as far away as 1,000 feet in the day and one mile at night, to warn motorists that workers are present. The forward-facing signals are mounted on the highest point of the hood, and rear-facing signals are mounted on either side of the high-mounted stop lamp.
"Ford designed the first-ever factory-installed LED warning light kit based on fleet customer input," said Kent Bock, Ford commercial accessory business development manager. "Because it comes directly from Ford, customers can trust that this light kit is Built Ford Tough. Ordering is as easy as checking a box, and the truck is delivered to your dealer with the system installed."
The kit is also available on 2016 F-Series Super Duty models.
