You may have lost your cool in the last election and put a bumper sticker on your car that, in hindsight, you're not proud of. Fortunately, this impulsive mistake is easier to erase than that tattoo we won't mention.
Here's how to get rid of a bumper sticker:
- Carefully peel an edge up with your fingernail or a plastic razor
- Spray under it with WD-40
- Continue to spray WD-40 as you pull parallel with the surface of the paint (same as waxing your legs—ladies, you know what I'm talking about)
- If any adhesive remains stuck to the car that won't come off with the WD-40, apply Goo Gone, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe clean with a microfiber towel
Another method is to use a heat gun, if you have one. Warming up the sticker loosens the adhesive so it can be peeled off—just be careful not to apply too much heat, especially if the sticker is on a plastic component.
