When we at Shottenkirk Ford found out our beloved American brand had plans to remodel its SUV-segment mainstay, the Ford Explorer, we initially didn't quite know what to make of the news. The old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" adage came to mind.
Then, the 2016 model arrived. And we knew right away why Ford took the road it did. Get a glimpse of the remade ride in the video review below:
The Explorer family is comprised of five unique members. And while we'd never steer you away from one of the top-tier trims, we feel it's actually the beautifully appointed base model that offers the biggest bang for your buck.
Standard features on this iteration include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlamps, rear privacy glass, roof rails, a rearview camera, a 4.2-inch display screen, SYNC voice-command functionality and Bluetooth compatibility. No doubt about it, it's a most excellent entry-level offering.
If you'd like to meet this marvelous machine "in the metal," or wish to put one through its paces on the open road, we encourage you to pay us a visit at our Jasper, GA location. Upon your stopover, we'll be sure to set you up with a test drive in the Explorer, or any other Ford model that may've piqued your interest.
